The Adventures of Tintin (Les aventures de Tintin): The Imaginary Museum (French: e Musée Imaginaire de Tintin)
The characters and figurines in this collection are inspired by the poster Hergé created in 1979 for the Le Musée Imaginaire de Tintin exhibition.
The collection shows the main characters Tintin, Snowy, Captain Haddock, Dupont & Dupont, Bianca Castafiore and Professor Calculus visiting an imaginary exhibition (From Chronologie d'une œuvre - Volume 7, by Philippe Goddin). In June 1979 a major exhibition opened at the Palais des Beau-Arts in Brussels. Hergé was unaware of the full catalogue, but exhibition organizers explained that the purpose was to compare the legendary objects Tintin encountered during their adventures with the real-life objects that inspired them.
Numerous objects from the comic adventures are presented in the exhibition. The original collection of the Tintin statues is elaborately manufactured by the licensee Moulinsart. Each statue and figurine is made from high quality resin and comes presented in a beautiful box with a numbered certificate of authenticity. All of the characters and objects on the Hergé poster will be released one at a time, giving every Tintin fan the opportunity to treat themselves to a woderful statue.
